[ On Christmas, Kaladin will find a simply wrapped package waiting for him. There's no note on the outside, but inside, he'll find a nice, compact medic kit and a bottle of tequila. The bottle is probably a good indication of who it's from, but there's a note tucked in with the box. ]
Today's a day for gift-giving, but since I have beef with the holiday, consider this an apology/thanks for all the time you come down to the bar. It's a group of assholes down there, but thanks for looking out for them all the same. Here's to more in the new year.
( kaladin's less worried about this package after receiving a stuffed animal in his first one, but he still employs great care in getting it open. for all he knows, ripping any of this paper would be a cultural faux pas, and he doesn't want to ruin anyone's day when they're supposed to be celebrating.
