( The only texts that are sent before Kaladin is mobilizing from one of the fringe cities. His Stormlight is running low, but it should last him another day or two with strict rationing. Flight into the desert for an emergency is a mandatory expenditure.

He's there in minutes. Too long by his reckoning, but faster than anyone could've arrived on foot.

Landing next to the civilian who's losing consciousness, he's on his knees before them in the sand. Kaladin glances up at Hunter while unzipping his medikit. ) How long ago did this happen? Have you done anything for them?

[ when he reaches the scene, he'll find hunter down in the sand too, with his cape ripped apart. it's been used as a makeshift tourniquet and makeshift bandages, and it's already soaked with blood... but no more is seeping through. hunter is holding pressure on one of the wounds. it seems like he knows basic first aid ]

I called as soon as I found him -- he couldn't tell me how long it's been, but I think it's fresh. I just... I tried to stop the bleeding.
